Turning environmental disasters into community dreams
At Eden-Rose Coppice Trust we give people with a life limiting illness, their families, volunteers, care givers and nurses an opportunity to escape, reflect and connect with nature.
Medical evidence states that many of the most effective settings for recovering from fatigue or illness involve the natural environment. Such restorative environments are in short supply in many urban areas, if not non-existent. Unfortunately, environments that have the opposite effect are rampant. This medical evidence is gaining momentum.
Working in conjunction with care homes, support groups and hospital staff the woodland provides a free safe retreat in a beautiful setting for those that need a sympathetic environment.
We supply the setting for unique experiences. Our safe and private woodlands can be reserved, without cost, to assist in their end of life care programme tailored specifically to their needs.

Story Telling areas
Exercise can improve physical function in cancer patients and may have other beneficial effects, such as reducing fatigue and nausea. When not reserved for special family days or times of solace, we can provide voluntary tasks within the woodland. We understand some of the health implications of recovering from certain treatments and design our tasks and centres with these in mind.
Support group hosting
Informal Q & A sessions with oncologists and other cancer specialists for patient and family.
